Дом моей мечты – The house of my dream

Hello! My name is Almira. I live in Almetyevsk. I have got a two-room apartment in the center of the city. But all people dream about their own house with all conditions, so do I.

The house of my dream must be a comfortable well-planned two-storeyed cottage. Not so large of course. It should be situated in a quite ecologically clean place or street. In front of the house I want a green lawn and flowers to be. And also a big shaggy dog should live in his booth in our yard. There must be a large kitchen, a pantry, a dining-room, a cosy sitting-room with a fireplace and big windows on the ground floor.

There should be bedrooms with with the own separated bathrooms on the first floor, and somebody`s study upstairs. And my room should be in the garret. And a balcony also should

Also I want to have a modern and quite new furniture. But the main thing that I do not want to do is to pay a lot of money for the house and the furniture for many years before I can

call this house my own.

There should be a lot of trees, a pond or a fountain. It is necessary if my house be strong and well-defended with a beautiful fence.

The houses of Parliament in London, known also as the Palace of Westminster is the place where members of Parliament (M. P.) gather to make laws. Those who visit the Houses of Parliament may sit in the Strangers` Gallery looking down into the Houses of Commons and listen to the debates. The members of each Houses meet in sessions which begin at the end of October and last for about one hundred and sixty days. The sittings usually begin at 10 o`clock in the morning and end in the late afternoon; but if Parliament is discussing an important question sittings may go on till late at night. All the time Parliament is in session, a flag can be seen over the building, and when the House of

Commons is still sitting after dark, there is a light over the face of Big Ben. The members of the House of Commons sit on two sides of the hall. The Speaker is the chairperson at all the debates in the House of Commons, and it is duty to keep order. The Speaker is elected by all the members of the House of Commons. He belongs to one of the political parties in Parliament, but he never votes are equal he votes with the government. The chairperson of the House of Lords is Lord Chancellor. He sits on the Woolsack, a large bag of wool covered with red cloth. If shows that wool made England rich.
